Kalim Assistant · Your coffee, your choice
Say your coffee order.
Make it yours.
A spoken request starts the conversation. You review the drink before paying.
Voice ordering in the Kalim experience is designed to connect what you say with the selected store's actual menu. Kalim Assistant can help express a coffee request while Kalims keeps the drink, its available options and the cart in view. The apps are being developed and tested; the first Calgary café and public pickup service remain in preparation.
How the voice-order journey works
Choose your store and explore its menu.
The store determines the available drinks and customizations. An enabled voice session uses this menu context.
Describe your drink.
For example, ask for a hot medium latte when those options are available. The assistant matches the request with a menu item and its supported selections; unclear or unavailable choices need review.
Check the cart and total.
Review the drink, quantity and customizations. Voice input does not authorize a payment or remove the need to check the final order. You can use the on-screen menu instead.
Pay and follow preparation.
Continue through the app's payment flow. The store team receives the confirmed order and updates its progress. Available payment methods depend on the device and configured payment connection.
Go to the correct pickup location.
Directions use the store attached to your order when its address is configured. The planned drive-thru connects that journey to window pickup; physical service is not available yet.
Can I order coffee by voice?
In an enabled Kalims voice session, describe the drink you want and review the choices shown in the app. For example: “A medium hot latte, please.” The selected store's menu determines which requests can be fulfilled.
Can I change my mind?
Check the cart and adjust your selections before paying. If a spoken request is unclear, use the visible menu and customization controls to make the order match what you want.
Does Voice Order replace the people making the coffee?
No. It is another way to communicate an order. The store team still handles preparation and service. Automated robotic preparation is a separate future development concept.
More than a voice command.
The same order connects Kalims for the guest with Kalim for store operations. Receipts, purchase history and Drops rewards relate to the guest's purchase. Voice is an optional way into that connected experience.
Use voice interaction when it is safe to do so. Complete on-screen review and payment while stationary.
